![]() Watt should be defensive player of the year and Romo should be lauded for the great year he has had, but he needs to buy Murray a house or something.Īnd I never thought I’d say this - but Jerruh Jones is going to be executive of the year. It's Week 4 of the 2022 NFL season, and we're keeping you updated on all the action and biggest storylines throughout the day. In my opinion, the MVP vote should be between Rodgers, Murray, and Brown, and I would have no problem with any of them winning it. As Branch Rickey once told his superstar Ralph Kiner when he was cutting his salary, “Ralph - I could finish in last place without you”. Watt off the Texans, they are still a team which doesn’t make the playoffs. ![]() Sorry O’Dell Beckham, you aren’t there yet, circus catches or not. He has put himself in the Megatron / Dez Bryant conversation as the best WR in the game. He has made that offense so explosive and helped open up holes for Le’Veon Bell. You take Brown away from the Steelers, they aren’t close to a playoff team. You take Murray away from the Cowboys, Romo’s numbers are back where they have been his whole career, which means a lot more picks and a few more losses. You take Aaron Rodgers off the Packers, they are a sub. It’s remarkable what Murray has done, especially the number of carries he’s had. Think about Murray’s year, and remember, this league is no longer a league which features running backs. And there is no question that Murray is the reason Romo has been able to do what he’s done. The other two I would consider are Antonio Brown of the Steelers and DeMarco Murray of the Cowboys.īrown has had an unbelievable year and is a big reason why the Steelers are relevant again.įorget Tony Romo, in spite of the great year he’s had, simply because as good as he’s been, Rodgers has been better. Quarterback is the hardest position to play in any sport. But playing QB and playing the “D” line is not even in the same conversation. He is the best defensive player in the game, and it isn’t even close. Not to take anything away from Watt - he is a great player and easily the defensive player of the year. There are only two other players who should be considered in my view. Rodgers deserves to be in the coversation for MVP of the league. Rodgers is the player of the week and Suh is the dirty player of the week. The fact that you say Rodgers faked an injury which relinquished the 14pt lead only to come back in to win shows his how valuable he is. We’ll see how good Romo is when he has to come to Lambeau and play in inclement weather which Rodgers does on a weekly basis…that’s if he doesn’t choke first. Romo only succeeded because of Murray who had a better season than Romo. With those hundred less pass attempts Romo has 5 more picks, not to mention Rodgers ability to run. ![]() ![]() Romo is the MVP or this guy (that said, JJ Watt deserves it Guy cant walk and has to be carted off the field. Oh, but Romo doesn’t fake injuries or constantly whine like Rodgers. Rodgers did it for a team that was picked to win its division. Romo and Rodgers had the same record (12 wins) but Romo did it on a team that everyone picked to have a losing record. Romo had a 4 or 5 less TDs, but had over 100 less passing attempts (that’s 3 games worth!) Romo lead the league in completion % QB Rating and yards per attempt (important stat) The fact he is getting the MVP over Romo is laughable and just shows the media infatuation with Rodgers. ![]()
